Gas Safe Commercial Gas Changeover

If you currently hold a certificate in Domestic Gas with qualifications that include Core Gas Safety (CCN1) and have held a minimum of 12 months Gas Safe registration, you may be eligible to complete the Commercial Gas Changeover training and assessments. Upon completion, you will be able to work in non-domestic settings on commercial installations and appliances.

The commercial gas industry is born out of necessity and the opportunity for qualified engineers is excellent as the work is spread nationwide and with encouraging financial rewards.

Our Non-Domestic courses will explain the varying methods of tightness testing and purging, in addition to pipe sizing and strength testing. During your training, we cover all of the areas required to prepare you for both your practical and theoretical assessments by guiding you through current reference books and up to date British Standards.

The Non-Domestic (Commercial) courses available at Lincolnshire Gas Training are listed below:

• CoDNCO1 (Changeover Domestic Gas – Commercial Gas)
• CDGA1 (Direct Fired Appliances)
• CIGA1 (Indirect Fired Appliances)
• CORT1 (Overhead Plaque Heater / Radiant Tube Heater)
• ICPN1 (First-Fix Commercial Pipework)
• TPCP1A (Testing & Purging Pipework ≤ 1m³ in volume)

Upon successful completion of the above, you will be deemed competent and qualified to work on :

• Gas Meters that have a flow rate above 6m³ / hr
• Gas Pipework exceeding 35mm in diameter, and installation volumes exceeding 0.035m³ (non-domestic installations or those larger than noted above (35mm / I.V. exceeding 0.035m³ ) would be tested to IGE/UP/1 or IGE/UP/1/A).

We offer initial & refresher training and assessments, and re-assessment only packages.
