WRAS Water Regulations Courses
If you are intending to work in residential care homes, healthcare premises or new-build sites, it is mandatory that you hold a recognised qualification that demonstrates your work is compliant with the UK Water Regulations. This qualification is also a mandatory pre-requisite for an Air Source Heat Pump qualification, and often accompanies a certificate in Legionella Risk & Assessment.
At Lincolnshire Gas Training Scunthorpe, we will guide you through the key areas of working safely when plumbing, so you can ensure you comply with the UK Water Regulations and are aware of issues like cross-contamination, back-flow prevention, and which are the appropriate materials and fittings to prevent growth from dangerous bacteria colonies such as Legionella. For fittings and materials that meet these criteria we would recommend you sought those that are WRAS approved.
The Water Regulations Approval Scheme is an independent UK certification body for plumbing products and materials, helping business and consumers choose compliant products that keep water safe. A WRAS approval is an easy way to demonstrate that a material or water fitting, is of a suitable quality and standard against the water fittings regulations.
